Just the one overnight stay to catch up with our son while on our way to the continent, the room was as ever very clean, neat and tidy. The restaurant provide a wide and varied choice across the menu catering for what seems all tastes. Local ales with a friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Good job Victoria!

Stayed here for three nights while exploring Canterbury. Good location with its own large car park. We had a family room which was spacious with 6ft bed which was very comfortable. Hotel clean, warm with friendly staff. Good breakfast and ate in the restaurant two nights where the food was good and plentiful. We booked direct with hotel and got...

We were a group of friends on a weekend away and the hotel suited our needs. Taxi from station £5. Friendly greeting at reception, payment on checking in. Room clean, beds comfortable, but room hot, even in December and radiators switched off. Kettle too small for a 4 bedded room. Not too much road noise, all slept well. Breakfast adequate...

I have been to the Victoria Hotel for lunch many time, often with disabled friends. Today I went with a friend in a wheelchair who was celebrating her 95th birthday. The staff were so kind, helping with the doors, seating her comfortably, understanding her needs - and providing a delicious lunch. The Carvery lunch is particularly good value with a...

Tea/ coffee and hot chocolate were available in the room with biscuits. There were also toiletries provided in the bathroom. There was no noise over...

This trend must have negative consequences for hotels, because AirBnB's and Couchsurfing generally offer rooms to a more affordable rate than hotels. The only way the hotel industry can counter this is by providing...

VEGETARIANS BEWARE! If, instead of several slices of expensive meat, from the Carvery, you choose the veggie option, you will get a MUCH CHEAPER piece of microwaved nutroast (very tasty) and some veggie gravy -but you will be charged an extra £1 for it!

Stayed here when visiting our daughter at the university of Kent. It's about a 20 minute walk there (5 mins by car) and about 10mins into town, through the the lovely gardens at the bottom of the High Street. Large comfortable family room for the price of a double, excellent shower and generous amounts of tea, coffee, hot choc and...
