We've just stayed here for my Fiance's 50th birthday as we needed somewhere close to the cricket ground and we have been plesantly surprised considering some reviews. Our room if a little small was very comfortable and had a wonderful shower!! The dining room was beautiful and relaxing with lovely decor and our breakfast was a lovely full english served...

We stayed here on a whim for our wedding anniversary, we don't live too far away and know Canterbury well and wanted to support a local business for the same price as a Premier Inn. The hotel itself consists of a handful of rooms in the upper floors of this delightfully higgldy piggldy historic building. The restaurant and bar aren't...

We booked to stay at the Sun for a girls' weekend in Canterbury. Obviously the location is faultless, you couldn't get a more convenient location, but this hotel could be so, so much more. The rooms are nice, clean and characterful, and the bathrooms are new, spotless and have a great shower. But the hotel is a bit sad and...

As a group a three girls looking for a 3 bed room in the town, the Sun Hotel was the best option - great price, right in the center of town and a bonus of being really characterful. This charming B&B, run by a lovely family, offered a spacious room overlooking the town centers cute cafes. It was a clean...

Booked a room as very last minute thing. Should have realised all would not be good because everywhere else was fully booked and the sun inn wasn't . At first glance you would have thought it was closed as all the blinds were closed and the front door was locked. After my husband tried the door a few times I...

I booked a night in the hotel on 4th Feb as a surprise for my husband's birthday. However, when we arrived at the hotel it was closed. When I checked with a local shop owner I was informed that it hadn't been opened since Christmas. I had booked the hotel in Nov 2015 through lastminute.com. Neither the hotel or lastminute.com...

We have booked this hotel for our son's Graduation in July and booked two rooms on the hotel's own website last week. The hotel's policy is that bookings are non- refundable. Normally, we would not have agreed to this, but we discovered that Canterbury is very busy during Graduation week and therefore we had no choice. Visiting our son last...

Myself and my partner made a booking months ago for valentines weekend. Today we have received a phone call and our room has been cancelled four days before we aren't meant to be staying! How on earth are we expected to find another hotel in Canterbury this short notice on Valentine's weekend!? Thank you very much!

Stayed here with my boyfriend in november 2015. This hotel is well located and is charming from the outside but a little bit over priced. As other customer said rooms are tiny, we've got the pilgrim room, not only the room is a shoe box but it is full of furniture which are way too big for the size of...

We visit Canterbury alot and often stop here for a refreshment. We decided to stay over one weekend. The staff are lovely, the facilities are clean and bright. We had the Marlowe Suite and it was gorgeous. Really comfortable. Will definitely go again.
