Only here for an overnight stay. Rooms are very comfortable, very well equipped and clean. The Staff are lovely - nothing too much trouble. Check in/out was very quick and easy. The lunch was great and the breakfast amazing, Its right on the dock so not too shabby a view either..

Myself and my husband popped into The Ship and Trades for lunch today as we had heard it had been refurbished. Still looked the same to me apart from the fact that the restaurant had been added to the downstairs food area. We ordered some drinks and then sat down to consider what we would eat. Was a little cold...

used restaurant only, not as resident, previously very pleased with restaurant food but on this occasion, 2.30 on Saturday 5th, November, the 'cook' decided to cremate the fish. The reason didn't return the plate of food because husband fighting the big 'c' and cannot cope with complaining just wants a quiet , peaceful life, said just eat what you can...

The pub has more character now it has been revamped, but it still lacks personality. The staff are busy but possibly a little too remote. The pub is missing a huge draw though by not adding any green charm to the outside seating area. It would break up the breeze a little and add character if there were a few...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Ship and trades and the place just keeps getting better. Our room, 11, had a roof terrace and was vey well appointed. Breakfast was fantastic in the excellent restaurant. All staff were attentive and friendly but in particular, special mention must be given to the General Manager Paul. He was...

Very friendly staff. Nice room with fabulous views of the Marina. Tastefully decorated with two armchairs, proper wardrobe and nice mirrors. Free parking. Good beer and food. Best house tel in the Medway towns imho and I have stayed in most. Bit hard to find - need GPS. Conveniently located near Chatham Marina and retail outlets.

Very pleasant setting and we were lucky to get a table as it was busy. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with sweet potato chips and salad and my partner had some sort of sandwich that took five lines of text to describe. I have to say, and I did mention it to the staff, the food had literally no...

Had a great meal here with my family, lovely food, attentive service, and pretty good prices. Nice setting if you can get a window seat so you can see the marina! Quite close to Dickens World and Maritime Heritage museum.

Ordered Steak & Ale Pie, tried to cut into top, which was rock hard. I assumed it had been left in the microwave too long. This was sent back, and I was told I would have to wait 10 mins for a replacement. 15 mins later I received a new pie. It was covered in thick gravy (presumable to soften it)...

We stayed at Ship and Trades as an alternative to the usual Premier Inn type hotel during a weekend visit for a family wedding. Fantastic historic location and has been refurbished with a great, cosy nautical theme. Room was clean and warm with a very comfy bed. It was also really quiet which was a surprise as the pub is...
