The hotel is right in town close to all amenities and visitor attractions so was great for our weekend away. Rooms are large- but basic. ie no carpet but lino instead. Very warm- you can manually adjust heating to suit. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Free WiFi throughout. Was able to leave bags on the last day before catching...

We managed to park outside because we arrived early. The room was quite large and definitely worth the money considering it is a central city location. The cook made a nice evening meal but the breakfast had to be cancelled due to the cook calling in sick. I would definitely consider staying again in the future.

I have stayed in 'old' hotels but they made a feature of their history. Rejoiced in the architectural aspects of time and place. Polished old brass, cleaned until it gleamed carpets and glass. As befitting 'old' buildings the management took pleasure in showing off many of the dated features of hotels. But the 3 star rating is too generous for...

Absolutely awful hotel. Cleanliness at a minimum. Shower was awful. Staff was arrogant. Asked for milk ect a few times and assured it was being bought up to us and it never came. Parking is absolutely diabolical. Disgusting bin. Holes in the curtains. Breakfast was not great either. Won't be staying again. Only plus side was it's in the town...

3 old farts on a beer trip. Triple room for £35 /night. Staff first class and rooms clean. Not suitable especially for our wives! Needs substantial investment on" infrastructure" . Great location 100 metres from station and city centre..

The only positives were the 2 male reception staff and the girl at breakfast who were all helpful. The hotel hasn't been re-decorated for a long time. The room was very basic and felt grubby. It lacked comfort. You can hear the tv in next room. The shower/bath fixture was very tight and not easy to use. I stayed 1...

The hotel stank, from the corridors, communal areas and worse in the room. The room was damp, wet paper peeling above the bed, electrics flickering and not working that were attached to the damp wall. There were incontinent sheets on the beds, meaning we sweated and slipped around the bed as the sheet wouldn't stay put over it. The traffic...
