Location is good for old town, and train station, but it can be noisy with police sirens initially, especially if you are facing the main road, after first night I didn't notice them any more.

Absolutely shocking the night staff really don’t care and the lager smells like egg obviously not cleaned the beer lines in months. The rooms are very basic and the sheets had not been changed on the bed. Will NEVER stay here again

The Gilson is a great hotel and at half the cost of a typical Large group chain hotel is good value it is cheap and the room was adequate enough for one night, there is a bar with sky sports which serves breakfast.
