As others have said, this is a lovely place to stay, most of all because of the cheerful and helpful hostess, Ethna. The room had everything we needed. The house construction out the back window wasn't a plus, but walking out the door with Ethna's instructions and finding a trail for a wonderful walk certainly was.

Breakfast is delicious & the Loughrigg room is a lovely, comfortable room to stay in. We cannot recommend this place enough and would never stay anywhere else in Ambleside.
