We stayed in February and had a great stay at High Wray Farm. It's a great place to come back to after a long walk in the rain. Cosy fire, welcoming owners (and cat) and home made cake. The breakfasts were very good (recommend the full english). Couldn't have asked for better!

We have been coming here for years - it's a real home from home! Shelia and Chris make you feel very welcome every visit, even leaving a pint of milk and a cake for your arrival! The cottage has two bedrooms, one twin room and one master, both with ensuite bathrooms (with underfloor heating). The master bedroom is great for...

Another beautiful, relaxing, memorable stay with Sheila at Highwray Farm. Despite it being 6 years since we last stayed there the farmhouse as usual is full of character and spotlessly clean, making it both a privilege and a delight to have yet another opportunity to stay there. Sheila is an exceptional host and always goes above and beyond to make...

Stable Cottage is very warm and cosy and beautifully finished and appointed. The level access and wheel-in shower were ideal for me as a wheelchair user. The views are to die for no matter what the weather!

We have just returned from two nights stay with our charming host Sheila. The farmhouse, not far from Hawkshead and Ambleside is a charming and restful place to unwind with wonderful views. Breakfast was excellent, the sitting room with wood burner was warm and comfortable and our bedroom nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. we look forward to staying there again!

I loved every minute I was at High Wray Farm! Sheila Briggs is an excellent host & a helpful, generous & friendly lady. The farmhouse dates back to 1628 & is just beautiful. I was greeted & offered a cup of tea & piece of cake straight away & I sat by the roaring fire with the cat on my...

What a wonderful beautiful place this is. Set in the rolling hills. The bnb farm cottage is so pretty and full of charm. Sheila the owner is so lovely nothing is too much trouble she goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room was spotlessly clean and a comfortable bed. Her breakfasts are...
