Came in for tea on a rainy night when the football was on... found ourselves a quiet corner in the restaurant area. Ordered food & drinks at the bar - decent drinks, VERY nice food (I had a burger, my husband had the steak & ale pie) which we didn't have to wait long for, and pleasent staff. Cheers guys...

Nice hotel, good staff, service bar open until late for 🍹 drinks. Have a pool table for relaxing 😎 the breakfast 🍳 also served quite good. They have special karaoke night and raffles to make it interesting for the locals and the guest.

A quick night away in the middle of Feb half term. Staff very friendly on arrival, rooms well sized and comfortable. Decent value for a very central location. Good nights sleep and a decent sized breakfast in the morning. Worth a visit and we will be back again.

The staff was very rude but i guess that is because the owners cant be bothered to do any work but like to stand in the bar getting drunk whilst leaving the running of the bar and hotel to there young children who have no experience in hospitality. I feel for the staff that are not part of the family

I booked this as a last minute bed and breakfast, afterwards we read some of the other reviews and began to worry-absolutely no need. This is one of the nicest, comfortable and friendly hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The room was large with a lovely clean and stylish en suite. The bed is comfortable and...

Looks quite inviting from the outside but lacks character inside. Ok for a afternoon drink but not a place I'd stay long. Didn't try the food but menu looks basic with the usual burgers and sandwiches.

This place is where you need to go when there is no Wetherspoons in a town! Wall to wall sky sports, loud music and doorman every night! To be fair the staff are nice and helpful but it really won't appeal to the real ale drinking, walking gear wearing tourists but there is always a place for pubs and hotels...

My husband and I popped in for a drink after a morning of walking and ended up staying all afternoon and having an early evening meal. I cannot comment therefore on the rooms however the wainwrights ale was very good and so was the food. I had the cottage pie served with broccoli, carrots and pickled cabbage. It was delicious...

We had stopped at Ambleside during a cruise .. Its a very picturesque village with beautiful tiny shops lining up on one side near the village centre. We stopped by after our walk for lunch. The pub had a nice interior , however the service level needs to be pulled up. Quality of food was average and the time taken...
