Stayed in the Oak Yurt with 4 other friends and, wow, what a weekend! It's a really place to stay, off the beaten track and feels very safe. The yurt itself was so comfortable, and it easily slept the 5 of us. It rained for...More

We stayed for one night on a whim. There were 4 of us in the smaller caravan (the 4the being our 8 wk old baby in a carrycot!) plus dog! A very fun idea and a great site. Whether it be camping or glamping, each...More

We've just come back from a weekend in Birch Yurt. The Yurts are great, cosy (the wood burner is really powerful) good equipment (the salt, pepper, oil and washing up liquid is a really nice touch). The kids absolutely loved running around outside building dens...More

Myself, my husband, our 9 year old daughter really enjoyed our stay in the Vardo wagon. The wagon is small but super cosy & the log burner really does throw some heat out. The day hut is a great idea for extra space for cooking...More

We stayed for a week in the Hawthorn yurt and had a fantastic time. The yurt was well equipped and comfortable. The setting was peaceful and relaxing. Very handy having the woodburner as even though we were there in August we did get very wet...More

Hi there I would like to ask you a couple of things regarding ideas for staying in the Yurt. I plan to visit next April, with my son, granddaughter and father. The 12 volt battery is the purposed of that in the yurt to power lighting? I have read on google that one family took a precooked dinner from their freezer just before leaving for their holiday and cooked that up for their first evening. Also I was thinking of taking a cool bag/box with extra cool pouches so the shop can rotate for me to keep milk cool as I was thinking of making porridge in the mornings or cooked breakfast now and then as well, we are going for a week. Torches will be purchased and taken, flip flops to use in the showers, wellies or boots on the way there! Bedding is provided or any thoughts on that front? Price of extra wood or I take from my local hardware store. Local supermarket or onsite shop is are their prices silly. Bowl or bucket to take dishes to wash house? Thoughts and idea would be much appreciated. Many thanks Alison

Hi The battery just powers the LED lights and you can charge a mobile phone, you need an adaptor for a cigarette lighter as you would in your car. A cool bag is a good idea and we were told that the shop will refreeze your... More
