Our first visit and we will definitely be returning. What a wonderful camp site. Second time in our new caravan and what a treat. The site is superb set in a stunning location amongst the woods. We saw so many birds and red deer and...More
We loved this site due to its high standards and clean facilities. The pitches are spacious and hard standing. There are very strict rules on how to park and pitch up, but after all that just makes sure everybody has the same amount of space....More
We arrived in our new campervan as absolute novices. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to find a pitch, get water and hook up smoothly and had a great evening working out everything about our new van. We were able to...More
One of the best touring carvan sites we have ever stayed in. Really friendly staff always willing to help out, one of the park wardens even came over to help us set up out TV ariel. The site and all facilities are absolutely immaculate even...More
We just had a long weekend with a folding camper (similar to a caravan with an awning). On the whole we enjoyed our experience and there are a lot of good things about the site. I'll start with the good bits.

Thank you for your excellent feedback. It seems for the most part we're doing things right but I would just like to address your one negative point. While our pitches do back on to wonderful woodland and we have reworked a lot of our raised...More

We travelled with our 6 berth Lunar caravan and found it stressful here on our more recent visit, to the extent that it's put us off going back. The problem is that we couldn't arrive until after 6pm due to work and people are allowed to chose their pitch on arrival. On our visit there was only a couple of smaller hardstanding pitches left on the upper levels with tiny 2 berth caravans being allowed to take up enormous pitches we had no choice but to squeeze onto a smaller pitch. It was very stressful, and we nearly thought we would'nt manage it at all. We did, just, and our neighbour had to lend us a spanner to put our steadies down as our usual handle would not fit as we were so close to the small wall behind. Even at that we had to put a cone at the front of our van all week as we overhung off the pitch at the front by about 1/2 a foot! The wardens didn't seem to mind, but we wondered if we couldn't physically have fitted what they would have done? Would we have got our money back?? Our advice: Arrive early to bag the best pitch!!!
