Fantastic value for money, very clean throughout. Despite being a 'Cheap break' offer, the food was à la carte and extremely tasty. The staff were very attentive and special shout out to Joanne. The Talbot bar was buzzing. All the guests' dogs were well behaved. Tiny point, room 5's shower could have been more powerful. Yet another good mini walking... More

Hotel is situated at very convenient location. It is a short drive away from main attractions but at the same time away from hustle-bustle. Our stay was short but very pleasant. Room is bit small but neatly kept. Wooden floor would squeak whenever someone would walk in the lobby outside the door but it is not a major inconvenience. Food... More

Hotel is situated in a small hamlet right in the centre of the Lake District. Quiet place but within easy reach of the main centres of Ambleside and Windermere not so far away. We stayed for a weekend at the end of September. In busy periods recommend you pre-book the main restaurant as it can be fully booked. First night... More

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff in bar and restaurant. Thoroughly recommend a stay if in the area. Very reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere in the Talbot bar with good food. Clientele tend to be walkers or older people so bar empties pretty quickly after dinner. Stayed in the lodge this time and not the main hotel, only downside there is... More

Skelwith Bridge Hotel was cosy, warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, we didn't have our dog but dogs were welcomed so will come back with ours. The food was lovely and good value. The bedroom and enjoy suite was clean and there was plenty of hot water. Gorgeous views, we really enjoyed our stay.
