Stayed on short break from 30/11/2016 for 2 nights. I am disabled, with severe mobility issues. Stayed in a courtyard room that was beautiful, good quality bedding and towels and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, this is a necessity for me, but so many hotels only have baths that is not disabled friendly. From... More

Stayed in room 24 with my disabled wife. Hotel is sensational, staff extremely good., food perfect. One night we used special deal; quality steak and bottle of wine 29 pounds for 2. Decor at Regent is tastefully done, with lovely bar area, drinks are a bit pricey ( especially glasses of wines, over 4,50 for 175ml glass) but that is... More

My girlfriend stayed at this hotel for her mum's 70th birthday, room 25. Nice side window view of the lake with tree lined view at rear over the adjacent public car par (which was empty this time of year). Staff very helpful and friendly, food lovely. Great location, short walk into the town and great bus service throughout the area.... More

We have just returned from a weekend stay at The Regent and in a word "excellent". EVERYTHING was perfect. The welcome from Cattarina, superior room 30, the food, restaurant and bar staff right through to when Alex checked us out on Sunday 27th November. No hesitation whatsoever in returning in the near future. It was my birthday on the Saturday... More

Me, my hubby and our pet pooch have just returned from a stay here. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room we had which was room 22 was beautifully decorated. Everything in the room was good quality and even our pet pooch received a welcome box of goodies. I must admit that being a dog friendly room you... More

We had our first stay at the Regent this month (NOV) for 3 nights, recommended by friends of ours. Their recommendation proved to be well worth while. This is a really well run hotel in a great location. Ample parking and only 100 yards or so from the bus links if you don't want to use your car. We found... More

Since 1994 my wife and I have had seventeen short breaks at the Regent Hotel, totalling 67 days. The level of comfort, quality of food and drink, and the outstanding service from the staff make this the sort of hotel you can recommend to friends and family without hesitation. Indeed, several of ours have acted on this. The high standards... More

We have been staying at the Regent on and off for 26 years. Personally I have never known a business be so consistent in terms of quality. The accommodation, food and most importantly, the staff, are excellent. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door to departure. A great location too!
