There are lots of good places to have a meal in Ambleside but unfortunately this is no longer one of them. We had a good experience there in June 2016 when a large group of us spent a weekend in Ambleside, so booked for a...More
Parking facilities were shocking. To service a hotel with 25+ rooms, there were 4 spaces, so not as advertised on booking.com. Although their website does state limited spaces, we did not realise what limited meant. We damaged our car getting into the 'car park', then...More
On Sunday 3rd September while on a family holiday I visited the Queens Hotel restaurant in Ambleside with 4 other family members and my 4 month old baby. During the meal my child required a nappy change, only to find your establishment does not have...More
Stayed for a weekend to coincide with beer festival. Room OK but bed collapsed when sat on. Ended up like a hammock! When I told reception about it was told they would fix it but no apology. Other friends staying had problems with the shower.

Yes the Hotel has a car park for about 8 cars being a town centre hotel and over the years the subsequent owners sold the land off for the buildings that now exist. Consequently, parking is on a first come first serve basis. Double parking was once in place to allow for more cars to be parked, but it was not always satisfactory to park this way. There are several car parks around at reasonable rates, and car parking spaces in front of the Hotel free of charge from 6pm till next day 10.30am.
