Fantastic hotel and great staff. The rooms were very modern and comfortable. Location was ideal and had the added bonus of an onsite carpark. As I booked directly through the hotel, there was a bottle of wine in the room to say thank you - this was a lovely jesture and very well received! The only negative (which isn't a...

We stayed here for New Years eve. We arrived early and the room wasnt prepared but the hotel staff were fabulous. Very welcoming and accommodated me with coffee, whilst they prepared my room. The room was fabulous. We stayed in the superior daffodil room with our dog. It was a massive room, very well presented with tv, dvd, tea and...

Stayed here on 27th Dec. really good b&b, staff excellent, breakfast very good, and great location. The only tiny problem we had was that the room was too warm. If only we have realised that the windows could be opened we might have slept really well.

Recently spent a wonderful family weekend here. 4 couples plus toddler. Great place to stay- we had a nice large room with a great shower- the beautifully clean bathroom even had underfloor heating!. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. As we were restricted by the toddler's bedtime, after dinner we were able to use the area by reception to sit...

My partner and I stayed at Lakes Lodge this weekend, as we both have stressful jobs it was great to relax in a comfortable and clean environment. Facilities were great, breakfast was good and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, they even organised our dinner reservation at the Regent Hotel which was fabulous. We will definitely recommend...

My Wife and I stayed here last weekend for our anniversary. We stay in Ambleside quiet often but normally with family so tend to rent a cottage. We'd walked past the Lakes Lodge a few times on our travels, and after reading the reviews we decided that it would be a nice place to stay for the two of us....

What a lovely hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room itself was beautifully decorated, spacious and had very comfortable beds with great pillows and bedding. The en suite was a great size also. Self service breakfast but had a great selection of all breakfast items and hot breakfast items were regularly replaced by staff. We also ordered...

Stayed at the Lakes Lodge in Ambleside - a very pleasant and comfortable B&B with a contemporary feel. Very friendly staff greeted us and showed us to our generously sized room - it was a family room on the ground floor, which probably explained the size. Good sized double bed though, and a very modern and stylish bathroom with a...
