This was our second visit to Crow How, a very comfortable, well run B&B on the outskirts of Ambleside. The bedrooms are very comfortable, well equipped with beautiful bathrooms and quality toiletries, linens and towels. The breakfasts are lovely. The owner and staff are friendly and very helpful. The house is set back from the busy road and accessed through a farmyard,...

This was our second time at CrowHow since it was completely upgraded, the rooms were spotless and bathrooms were fitted out to a high standard. Very good quality toiletries provided. The Cumbrian breakfast can be recommended. It is situated in a very quiet location about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. I can recommend the meal deal...

This was our third visit, which should speak for itself! The location is superb, the rooms spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious. It is undoubtedly our first choice when looking for somewhere to stay in Ambleside, but book early to avoid disappointment!

This was a return visit after 15 years and we found a very high standard of decor and facilities, with the added bonus of walking distance to Ambleside, Rydal Mount and being central to the Lake District. Would recommend without hesitation. Room 7 has an especially lovely bath/shower room and is very spacious.

Breakfasts were brilliant and everyone was friendly. Crow How is in a superb location, and views from the bedroom window were stunning. It's ideally situated if you want to spend...

The superlative reviews of the Crow How are well deserved. We’ve been coming here for five years and it’s our favourite place in the Lake District. I’ve little to add to what other people are saying but can confirm that in our broad experience of hospitality in the Lakes it stands out for wonderful rooms, bathrooms, views and tranquillity. Prepare...

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location and close enough to walk into Ambleside. We stayed in room 2 which had a lovely view and was equipped with everything we needed. The hotel was spotless and the breakfasts delicious with a wide choice. A good choice in the DVD library too.

Crow How is in a great location having great views, especially from our bedroom window. It was lovely & peaceful yet only a short walk into Ambleside Town, so no need to use the car, which for me was great. Our room was very comfortable & exceptionaly clean, we had a very comfortable bed which was welcome after a long...
