We visited hundith Hill recently for afternoon tea. It cost £18 per person and was definetely worth it. There was plenty of food in fact too much we even had to take some home, the staff provided boxes for us to do this. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea to anyone

I booked the Valentine's dinner, bed and breakfast as a surprise for my partner, choosing to stay on the Friday in the hope it would be quieter. (Which it was) It was perfect. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Jill who showed us the bar and restaurant and helped take bags up to our room. We had a...

Beautiful hotel in amazing surroundings. Stayed for 2 nights over NYE which included a Gala buffet on NYE which was brilliant. Live band and a buffet with lots of choice of hot and cold dishes. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us....

We were a party of 4, and it was really nice not having to cook on Boxing Day. There was a decent selection of starters/main and deserts. Perhaps a better selection of veg would have been nice, as not everyone likes parsnips. I must admit i was a bit disapointed when I first saw my desert, which was the chocolate...

I work for BBC News. My colleague and I were in the Lake District for Christmas Day, covering impending floods, and needed a place for the night. We had our bookings people search for a hotel where we might be able to get something to eat. As it was Christmas Day this proved to be rather difficult. However, Hundith Hill...
