I have stopped here before and they continually keep on top of the place and the rooms and public areas are clean and tidy and well appointed. The bar manager and staff are all friendly and willing to have the craic with you. Personally I think they should stock Becks instead of Sol, but hey. I can definitely recommend it...

We were up in Coniston for a bank holiday weekend break. We entered the Yewdale en masse. A very busy place and for 9 adults and 2 kids to descend wanting food could have caused a problem. A member of staff apologised when he told us we could not order until 8pm as the kitchen was rushed off its feet. As...

Nice local pub. We stopped there B&B for 3 nights in room 2. Nice clean room at the back of the pub. Not over the bar so nice and peaceful. Room a bit out dated. Food in the bar was very good. Breakfast in their cafe was very good. Also breakfast is served 11am. On departure 11am which is excellent...

Had a fabulous weekend at the end of March with my husband. Booked on a bed, breakfast and dinner deal unsure what to expect given the price but were very surprised by both the accommodation & food. The evening meal consisted of any 2 courses from the bar menu (except steak which had a supplement) which was beautifully presented &...

Lovely place with lots of friendly people where we were made to feel very welcome with our 4 month old puppy. Special thanks to Tom (Tim? - I'm not the best with names!) for making sure Holly had plenty of carrots to keep her happy :-)

Staying in Coniston and called in the Yewdale after having a meal in the village last Saturday night. With our group in golfers fancy dress having a fun evening. Not a rowdy group. I am a grandfather aged 74. We were refused admission arbitrarily. Landlord apparently has a policy against groups. Sad. Happily we had a lovely warm welcome at...

Naturally we take pride in welcoming all customers in a friendly and courteous manner as can be seen from the many very positive reviews we receive. As a relatively small, cosy bar we do have to sometimes limit the number of people we allow in especially on busy nights such as the Saturday night you refer to. A group of...

After cuddling up to our log burner for several weeks while suffering with heavy colds, my hubby and I were going stir crazy from being indoors, feeling a bit better and a quick search on the Internet for ideas of where / what to do, we find the Yewdale Inn, offering a dinner and B & B deal, about an...
