I stayed for 2 nights at the Yewdale at a very attractive Half Board rate. I arrived ahead of check in time but the owner Jeff checked me in and showed me to room 7 which whilst advertised as a single was actually a room with an double bed. It was clean and very comfortable. Furnishing was good quality. Jeff...

Just returned from a few days away at The Yewdale Inn. The room was very clean and tidy, the staff extremely helpful and the included breakfast and dinner was superb. Already thinking about our next visit to this little gem!

Nice pub and restaurant. More along the lines of a hotel with bar, which is exactly what it is. It also has a seperate cafe but unfortunately when the cafe is closed you can't order a hot drink. Overall a friendly atmosphere.

Has a great location in the lovely village of Grasmere. Nice and clean and the food was very good at breakfast and dinner. The meals are served in the cafe which is cold both in temperature and atmosphere. It closes at 3 in the afternoon when there are lots of walkers returning and looking for re-energising and guests are arriving...

Visited the Lake District many times. The hotel we had previously stayed at in Grasmere, was closed for maintenance work. Discovered the Yewdale Inn on Tripadvisor and what a find! The Inn is full of character and well situated in the beautiful village of Coniston. Reserved 2 rooms (2&9) both clean, comfortable with lovely views. We booked a 2 night...

We stayed here for 2 nights, the comfortable room and en-suite bathroom were spotless. The food was excellent and the price included breakfast and a 2 course evening meal. There is a nice bar area with an open fire and an excellent pint of Loweswater gold. Must mention Jeff and all the staff at the Yewdale Inn who are all...

I recently stayed here with my family and on arrival we checked in with no problems and was made to feel welcome... the room did its job and was cosy although the toilet fan was noisy and scared my son so he had to go in the dark lol. That aside, we went for a meal in the bar area...

Many thanks for your review Nadine. We are pleased that you and your family had a great stay in Coniston. The noisy fan has now been replaced. As for the church bells, this issue has been with the church to rectify for some time now and should be dealt with soon. Most of the locals have accepted this for years...

I stayed at the Yewdale for 6 nights at the beginning of November and I have to say it was one of best all round places that I have stayed. Initially they did not have a room available for the Friday night but during my stay they moved heaven and earth to make a room available and very nice and...
