We have stayed at Chestnut Villa many times, always returning for the warm welcome, very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfasts and great value that is on offer. This time, we stayed in one of the newly refurbished larger rooms. It was very warm and comfortable with decor worthy of an expensive hotel. Fabulous, comfy bed, views over the fells...

We stayed two nights at the end of January 17 in room 6. Mike, the owner, was really friendly and very welcoming. The property is wonderfully stylish without being over the top and would give some bigger well known hotels a real run for their money in that respect. Breakfast was great as too was the service. All in all...

We stayed at Chestnut Villa and couldn't have wished for a nicer B and B. The rooms were lovely, clean and well equipped with beautiful views. Michael went beyond the call of duty in order to make our stay as comfortable as possible even to the point where he allowed us to use the lounge to celebrate two special birthdays...

Helpful and friendly hosts. Comfortable room 3 at front but little noise from main road so an excellent nights sleep in very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and only 10 minutes stroll in Grasmere. Absolutely nothing negative.

We booked this only a few days before we went and so we weren't expecting much. When we got there we were warmly greeted by the owner, Mike, who was warm and friendly. We were taken to room 6 and we were so pleased with it. The room is so tastefully decorated, well appointed and had a high end finish....

We took a short break at Chestnut Villa which was fantastic. We stopped in room 3 at the back of the property which had amazing views of Helm Crag. The room was an ideal size for what we wanted with an en suite shower room and was nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable!! The owner was very helpful and...

5-10 min walk to Grasmere (mostly path). Fantastic views in all directions- sunsets out the back. Beautiful decor. We stayed in the superior room with an enormous shower and roll top bath. Couldn't fault the place. Several parking spaces. Lovely breakfast room. We will be definitely be going back. Thanks Mike and co.
