The hotel has undergone something of a refurbishment and the rooms and general areas are all nicely decorated. Bar meals and ales were good but not an extensive menu for evening meals.Staff efficient and helpful although breakfast quality was not great. Lots of dogs around throughout the day with some less well behaved than others. Rooms were nice and adequate...

Just returned from another wonderful stay at The Inn in Grasmere and can't say enough praise about this gorgeous hotel- our room was fabulous 306. Our meal in the restaurant was the best we have eaten in a long time - starters were mouth watering and both had the sirloin steak which we have never had better- our regards to...

My husband and I have just enjoyed a two night stay here . Beautiful Inn and comfortable room which was decorated to a high standard. Loved the 11am check out time which allowed us to have a lazy morning and leisurely breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We have been going to The Inn formerly The Red Lion for many years but had changed our alliengenc due to a long overdue refurbishment being required. Our stay last weekend was very enjoyable with a much better dining experience than in the past. The lounge is very comfortable and all the staff were enthusiastic and helpful. Both our bedrooms...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. What a great place. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We dined here on both nights and could not found fault with any dish we had.. I would definitely recommend a stay here and will be returning.

Other reviews have criticised the recent refurbishment of the public areas, in my view it is a massive improvement on the standard offered by the old Red Lion & Lamb bar. The decor is bright and relaxed combining some up to date ideas in a way complements the building. The staff, some of whom have just arrived at the hotel,...

Evening meal & breakfast was beautiful and staff very helpful. On check in was greeted by a very helpful member of staff also! In a brilliant location right in the centre...

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in recent years and on our latest visit last week where we stayed for a couple of nights, we were impressed by the changes made to the interior of the hotel. We stayed in the Coleridge room which was clean and comfy (although could do with replacing the hair drier...
