We stayed here for 1 night and it was perfect. Right by the lake and our room had a beautiful view. You can walk to the centre of Grasmere in 10 minutes. The owners were lovely. Fantastic base for a trip to the Lake District. We will be back!

Grasmere Lake is a stunning sight from Banerigg B&B -- whether from a room with a lake view, the breakfast room or the front of their house. Walk across the road and you are at lake's edge. Many places to amble in sight of green hills with flocks of calmly grazing sheep; many varied shops to explore, wide selection of...

We have been coming to Benefit for twenty years or more because of the wonderful hosts, Angela and Martin. From their friendly welcome on arrival to chats over the log fire in the evening they make Banerigg a wonderful place. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and some have view over the lake. When you have eaten the wonderful,...

My partner and myself have stayed at Banerigg each time we go to The Lake District, and every time we don't want to leave. Angela and Martin make you feel so welcome and at home, they really are the two most lovely people I have ever met. They are always happy to help you find the best route to somewhere,...

It's the third time that our group has been to Banerigg. The owners, Angela and Martin, couldn't possibly have been more helpful (thermos flasks filled, sandwiches stored in their fridge etc. The B&B is clean, well organised and offers what it says on the tin. Breakfasts are excellent and prices £41 each. Easy and ovely walks in every direction from...

We spent two nights with Angela and Martin. The guesthouse has views straight over Grasmere and our hosts were exceedingly kind. This is a lovely, honest B&B with super breakfast. Just what's needed after an exerting day on the hills. Recommended!

Just returned home from a two night stay at the Banerigg. I mention in my title that it's a lovely home, and that's what it feels like, not one of these plastic chain-hotels where you could be anywhere in Europe, it's a guest -house and Angela and Martin make you feel like sooooo welcome. Our room was en-suite with plenty...

Martin and Angela could not be anymore welcoming. Just a short walk into Grassmere it's ideally situated. Our return for the 2nd year had us looking forward to an early morning dip in the lake ...knowing that there was a hearty cooked to order breakfast on our return. My our couldn't ask for me. And yes we'll be back next...

This was our first visit to Banerigg but we can understand why guests return year after year. The house is located on the main road between Grasmere and Ambleside overlooking the lake - it's a 10-15 min stroll into Grasmere village with all its amenities. Angela and Martin were delightful hosts and welcomed us into their home, making us feel...

Me and my boyfriend stayed over at the weekend for a night in Grasmere, we couldn't have been made more welcome at this guest house. Angela and Martin run a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was tasty and set us up nicely for a hike up Helm Cragg on Sunday morning. We stayed over last...
