Great location right in centre of village.Room 1 was superb, well fitted, big room with massive bed.Bath and seperate shower.First time I've ever watch tv in the bath, pity there was no football on :-) The large balcony overlooks the street, not so useful during October, but would be great in the warmer weather with a glass of wine(complimentary in room on arrival) Good...

We stayed for 5 nights in Room 1 in October 2012. The room was superb with a huge balcony looking out onto the village. Immaculately clean, lovely bedding and soft pillows and quilts. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts are superb and we recommend the the sandwiches /rolls to take with you for lunch on the...

Heidi's might be a lovely place, there are limits to the perfection specially when it doesn't work in the end!!!! Ok I understand it's a rainy country and they want to keep the place clean, but asking people to take off their shoes while there is a white carpet all over the place is a bit too much!! and the...

Many thanks for your review. I feel your comments are rather unfair as these things were explained to you on the telephone prior to you going ahead with the booking, e.g. removal of shoes and balance payable on arrival. I think that may be Heidi's Grasmere Lodge was just not for you.

We stayed in Heidi's last weekend and it was the most beautiful place to stay... We stayed in room no 2 which had beautiful furniture and the extra decor that made the room very romantic. Even though my husband found the room too girly, I found it more relaxing and beautiful. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast served and the wine and...

We have stayed in Heidi's Grasmere Lodge on 2 occasions. The first time was with relatives who had stayed there previously and having enjoyed our stay we decided to book a return visit. We found Room 4 on both occasions to be very cosy and extremely comfortable, just what we needed after a day on the fells. The bathroom was...

We stayed at Heidi's for two nights in room 4. We were given the friendliest welcome and instantly felt at home. Our room had some low beams which meant a bit of ducking on my husband's part but we were well aware of this before we booked. The room was large &beautifully decorated. The spacious bathroom had underfloor heating &...

We stayed in Room 4, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, and bathroom with underfloor heating and a splash TV, what more could we ask! Heidi and team were very friendly, nothing was a problem, even writing your own menu for breakfast! The location, in the middle of grasmere is the setting for a perfect getaway, and we'll definitely be back!
