We stayed at Ivy Guest House for 2 nights last week. We were in room 1which was spacious enough for the 2 of us and beautifully furnished. The bed was comfortable and chocolates and a teddy bear sat waiting for us -a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was lovely too with freestanding bath and shower fitting across the taps.Shower temperature was...

A beautiful characterful guesthouse in a beautiful village. The guesthouse is set in a central location in Hawkshead, with its own parking which is a bonus. To top if off Darren and Roz are wonderful hosts, and knowledgeable about the local area. The bedrooms are full of character with everything you could need. Breakfasts are plentiful and filling. We have...

Right from the start you know this is somewhere special: the fantastic location, the warm welcome and the thoughtful attention to detail. Off-street parking is a bonus in this tourist village. Room was smallish but cosy, comfortable & well-appointed, and the guest house is in an historic building so no complaints. Convenient location just across from the Red Lion pub...

We stayed for a couple of nights in June. We had a comfortable room on the ground floor, with good facilities. Our host was very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was excellent - the bacon was delicious. Everything was very clean and there was a pleasant garden to the front of the property with seating. The location was good, just yards...

Our party of four senior citizens, two teenagers & two dogs all stayed for two nights at the Ivy Guest House. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts, and lots of little extras that made this B&B stay such a lovely experience. A pumice stone, a sewing kit, room mist spray, toiletries in the en-suite, a face flannel, mint chocs and a...

We stayed for a long weekend, Friday-Sunday. Welcome was warm as previously. Great location for the centre of the village with good car parking. Nice room, very clean and well presented. Good hearty breakfast, perfect for a few days relaxation.

We stayed in the Ivy Guest House for 8 nights with our young daughter. It is spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our family room had tea and coffee making facilities and a TV, and also an ensuite bathroom with a great shower and complementary toiletries. The room had lots of storage space . There was also a communal...
