Checked in last weekend to this fabulous bed and breakfast. The hosts Sue and Richard are lovely and very accomodating. The rooms (we booked two)were very clean and we loved all the extra touches, like the hand made chocolates in the room every day. When we arrived we were met with tea coffee and a home made victoria sponge (no soggy bottom).Wondeful!...

Our short break began with a welcoming pot of coffee and home made lemon drizzle cake Mmmmmm! Sue is personable and bubbly, her laughter can be heard all through the house. We highly recommend the Garden room with its amazing king size bed and impeccably clean furnishings, great en-suite too. Sue and Richard complement each other in giving a faultless...

Booked this delightful b&b as a last minute get away, and wow what a treat! It has its own private car park that is about a 5 minute walk from the village. When we arrived we're greeted by the owners with coffee and homemade cake! The room (veranda) was exceptional with balcony to enjoy our coffee on. The breakfast the...

The breakfasts were excellent and you will not need much by...

Attention to detail with everything even a little sewing kit and a box of things incase anything was forgotten. The grounds of the manor are beautiful and...

This was my first time in a B & B. It was like a hotel, really, but with fewer rooms. I have never seen such a clean place! Every need is catered for. Beautiful scenery, lovely breakfast with some interesting choices, friendly hosts, perfect!

A fabulous location alongside the track leading up to the Grizedale Forest yet just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hawkshead with its plentiful restaurants, bars and tea rooms plus post office, shop and pharmacy. The accommodation is excellent with a well fitted...
