We booked the three night mid week break including dinner at Fellinis and Zeffirellis in Ambleside. The welcome at the Yewfield was warm; our room was elegant, spacious and comfortable; and the vegetarian breakfast was excellent. Cooked breakfast followed by home made bread, home made damson jam (it still had damson stones in) and a generous buffet of cereals, yogurt,...

Friendly people, delicious vegetarian or vegan breakfast (and I am not even vegetarian), pretty country walks nearby, comfortable spacious room, lovely relaxed surroundings. The building is very impressive and there are lots of interesting bits and pieces dotted around inside. The only negative is it's a little bit hard to find. We really enjoyed being there.

Perfect location - just a short walk from the beautiful Tarn Hows. The accommodation was great for just the two of us - very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, also ended up with a bathroom each! Bed upstairs was very comfy. Staff were polite and helpful, offering us maps and access to the dvd/book/music library at the main house....

Stayed again on a three night offer with two vouchers for Zeffireli's and Fellini's. You will be amazed at the tranquil setting of this wonderful vegetarian bed and breakfast hotel. We were grateful to get the last booked room and had a great surprise to find a four poster bed in the room. Breakfasts are truly memorable and cover everything...

Absolutely lovely place it's so much bigger than I expected. Has lovely views and is only about a 5 min drive into nearest village. We stayed bank holl weekend and it was best value for money by miles in comparison to others in the area and the quality was far superior. Being a meat eater I was worried id miss...

We came here the Thursday before the bank holiday and stayed until bank holiday Monday. This bed and breakfast is set in a incredibly beautiful part of the Lake District, just a 15 minute walk from Tarn Hows. They had a fantastic vegan friendly breakfast including tofu scramble and fruit salad, with vegan alternative for yogurt and milk. We stayed...

Gorgeous B&B just outside Ambleside. It's a beautiful building in serene grounds with fantastic views. I stayed in Juniper which is part of a separate restored building. It was a huge room (with a very comfy bed) with a sunny patio. Great value. Lovely to have the veggie fry-up every morning (ask for scrambled tofu if you're vegan) although you...

Stayed in Yewtree 2, a room on the first floor of the annex. Lovely room with character furniture, which was immaculately clean and comfortable. It had a roomy en suite, with a huge shower and Neal's yard toiletries. Water pressure was not great but that was really nit-picking. The vegetarian breakfast was delicious, with proper vegan options such as scrambled...
