We found this a very convenient base to explore the Lake District and surrounding area. Our hosts Philippa and Pete were so welcoming and made us feel instantly at home and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was well-equipped with a modern en-suite. We were spoiled with home made biscuits on the tea/coffee tray daily! The bed was very...

Ash Meadows is easy to review. Just tick "excellent" for all categories! Whether it is the friendly owners, the breakfast, the cleanliness, parking, wi-if, decor etc all score maximum points. For the life of me I cannot understand why other establishments fail so spectacularly when it is possible to get it so right. Next time we call off in the...

Lovely hosts, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast. We stayed for two nights and honestly had no complaints. The home baked cookies were lovely, as was the breakfast freshly prepared to order. Would definitely stay again.

I'm usually reluctant to stay in a b&b but would stay again in a heartbeat. Owners are lovely and really accommodating and helpful even when I had to check out early unexpectedly. Decor is beautiful, fast wifi and fantastic breakfast. No bad points!!
