We recently stayed with Paul and Granville at Millers Beck. Cannot rate them highly enough, very welcoming. The room was perfect, overlooking the millrace, with gorgeous countryside views. Everything you need is provided including beautifully crisp white towels, tea/coffee, biscuits. Breakfast was as we expected, delicious and cooked exactly how you like it. As our first experience of The Lake...

We visited prior to the Easter break on the way to the Lakes. Lovely room first floor room , Juliet balcony with great views over fields. Nice ensuite. Great breakfast and wonderful hosts. Very quiet area but a 3/4 mile walk to local pub serving good pub grub. Will be staying again!

Called on the day of the visit and was welcomed at short notice. Room was spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean. The grounds and scenery are stunning. Requested early breakfast as I had to be on site nearby early on. Host gladly obliged and cooked a superb breakfast which I enjoyed sat in the conservatory next to the mill race....

I visited Millers Beck in February 2017 with my girlfriend for a weekend away. We arrived on the Friday night and were greeted and showed to our room in good fashion. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was well styled. The old slight issue is the lack of power shower but I assume this is down to the area...

We had business in Kendal & chose to stay at Millers Beck because of the excellent reviews....we were not disappointed as it exceeded all expectation. Set in the countryside but easily accessible Millers Howe is just beautiful from the moment you are welcomed into the stunningly spacious hallway with the impressive architectural features of the original mill building to the...

Because of previous reviews, expectations were high.....and expectations were met. Paul and Granville keep this charming and quaint place in immaculate condition and were very obliging to our request for an early breakfast due to my partner being on a course in Kendal, even imparting some local knowledge on how to negotiate the morning traffic. The room was spotless and...

We have just spent a couple of nights at Millers Beck. Paul and Granville were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was beautiful. It is set in a gorgeous central location which made it easy to get around to see the sights. We will definitely stay there again and would not...

Paul and Granville were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were lovely and clean. Lovely views of the fields and cows with a lovely river outside. They take pride in their B&B. If you are looking to stay in Kendal then I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

We are surprised that Paul and Granville get such glowing reviews, as we found them to be rude and very unwelcoming! Was it perhaps because we turned up on a motorcycle or because there had been some kind of mixup with Booking.com we had booked a double room and he had us down as a single? From the beginning anything...

Third time we have stayed at millers beck, this time with teenage son in tow. So we stayed in the self contained apartment Fields View which has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, diner, lounge and shower room. Impeccably clean and well maintained and hosts as welcoming as ever. Wifi and tv kept the teen happy and the cracking full English breakfasts were...
