She's a great local too with insider knowledge...sent me to a fantastic French restaurant. A real believer in this fantastic town...her place and rooms are also special - creative, thoughtful beautifully kept and unique. I'll... More

Everything we had hoped for and more besides. Even down to the very brand of brown sauce we use at home for breakfast. Warm, comfortable, clean and welcoming. Thank you for looking after us so well, Yvonne.

Lots of lovely touches, like home made cake and biscuits and a great breakfast with home made yoghurt. Very clean room and bathroom, excellent hostess. Room was spotless, very comfy bed, new shower room with nice organic toiletries. After phoning up on the Wednesday and asking if it would be okay for under 18s to stay, I was able to book one night for the coming Monday (with a discount because I'd booked directly). After a day out Bassenthwaite Lake and a trip up a big hill we checked in to a warm and friendly B&B greated by... More
