I had to make a flying visit to Keswick and had the joy of staying at this lovely guesthouse. Home made cakes are available daily in exchange for a donation to the local mountain rescue. The room I stayed in was spotlessly clean, cosy, warm and extremely good value. Keith and Sally who run this guesthouse were welcoming and happy...

A great choice for a midweek three night stay. Keith was very welcoming and is full of guidance to help you plan your walks, bike rides, eating, drinking or just about any other thing you want to do. Rooms were clean, well maintained and comfortable. I needed the alarm on two mornings after long days out in the hills. Parking...

We are pleased you had a good stay and a good few days in the hills. After a good day exercising plenty of tea and cake with a warm comfy room, good nights sleep and breakfast is required to rest and refuel. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Best wishes Keith & Sally

Glencoe Guest House is ideally situated in Keswick town centre with the middle of town approx 10 minute easy walk away and the beautifully stunning Derwentwater about 15 minutes walk away. The room was very comfortable and quiet, with views of the surrounding hills. Keith was a brilliant host. His love and knowledge of the area was very apparent and...

We loved our stay at Glencoe Guest House. Sally and Keith are great hosts and the breakfast was fantastic. The property is very centrally located for the facilities of the town and for local walks. We will be back.

Thank you for the kind review. Guests saying they wish to return is like an empty breakfast plate, the aim has been achieved. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again soon. Best wishes Keith and Sally

My partner and I had a just lovely stay here in early September. Our room was cosy and nicely decorated, breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked, and Keith and Sally were wonderful hosts (gave great advice on walks around the area, made excellent £6 packed lunches, and provided a freshly baked cake daily!). It's a very short walk to Keswick's...

Thanks so much for the lovely review. It's a great advert for the guesthouse in its own right. The best advert for any establishment is from the guests who stay there and this review makes the best case for staying here. Yes, Wi-Fi connection is patchy, we have bought a booster, and will continue to try to make the signal...

This was the second time I've stayed here this year, and once again it was perfect. Sally and Keith are excellent hosts, and so friendly. The rooms are always exceptionally clean, and the beds are made and rooms are tidied every day. So many nice little touches, like the fresh cakes every afternoon, and complimentary toiletries.

Thank you so much for the kind review. We try very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and we are glad to have done that for you. We find that if guests have enjoyed their stay they will come back and tell others of the stay. A lot of our business is generated this way. So thanks...

I have stayed here 4 times now and it is highly recommended. This time I was walking part of the Coast to Coast with friends and having 2 nights in Keswick. Thanks for the great review. I could not have written a better advert for the guesthouse. Good food, spotless rooms and a warm welcome are key. But the little things matter too. Fresh milk if desired; discounts at the theatre; being open all day and many more. We do not have the space for a lounge but guests are welcome...

We stayed at t he Glencoe Guest House for a week in September 2016. Keith and Sally were like family-so warm and friendly. Sally makes all the breads and cake each day-delicious! The eggs are local from free range hens which we saw roaming the hillside as we came into Keswick on the bus. Sausage was the best I have...

Thank you for the kind review. It was a pleasure to meet you and share your enquiries into your Keswick ancestors and that you enjoyed your stay. Locally sourced and tasty food is so important. A very warm welcome with much needed hot tea and caked on arrival. A hard day cycling in the hills left us a little weary and tired so this was much appreciated. We stayed in several guest houses across the north of England and this place stood out because of the care and attention to detail of the owners. We...

Thanks for the kind review. As a cyclist myself I know the value of hot tea and cake on arrival at a guesthouse. Attention to detail is vital. Do the little things right and it seems the big things sort themselves out. We welcome all cyclists and love sharing their adventures and challenges they face. Thanks again Best wishes Keith...
