We were walking around Derwentwater when we found this place with the sign: walkers (and dogs) are welcome. We decided to take a break and have a coffee. You are served at the bar, but since there were not too many people, it was very quick. They have a nice terrace with beautiful views to the lake. As far as...

Stunning views and surrounding countryside and just a short walk to the beautiful Derwent Waters were you can catch a ferry to surrounding areas. Our room was spacious and spotless with a big comfortable bed. We had...

We had dinner at Mary Mount. It was in a lovely location with Windows all around the dining room. Typical order at the bar restaurant but your meal was brought to your table and the service was excellent. Dennis had haddock and says it was the best meal he had on our 2 week trip through England, Scotland, and Iceland....

The facilities were as expected, very clean and tidy with courteous staff. The bedroom was large with patio doors with a Juliet balcony overlooking the grounds. The bed was King size and...

We stayed here last Sunday night, as we were attending a wedding at the nearby Lodore Falls Hotel. Tip ; It's a good idea to stay here rather than the wedding venue. As we left the evening reception, about 12.30am, there were still wedding guests - in very high spirits - inside and outside the Lodore Falls. It was good...
