In our whole 8 week European and UK holiday, Charnwood Lodge felt most like our home away from home. Freda was fantastic, she had so much information about the town and where to go for sight seeing and restaurants. She a great sense of humour and no question is too hard. She is so inviting, it felt like you were...

The owner Freda made you very welcomed and supplied a piece of cake or biscuit for afternoon tea if you where in. The rooms where bright and airy with a reasonable amount of room. The en suite was outside your room but again of a reasonable size. The location allowed you to visit all the lakes in the area and...

Beautiful charming cottage with fantastic views and a lovely sweet lady who owns it. Had an overnight stay, such a warm friendly welcome and excellent breakfast served the next morning. Would definitely return again as it serves as an excellent base for Keswick town centre and would highly recommend it to others. Jane and David

Like staying at your grandmas. Very comfortable bed with mountain views from the roof window. We were looked after very well and was served a perfect English breakfast in the morning, all set for an adventurous day.

We had a lovely couple of nights here. Freda looked after us very well, with fresh milk for tea each day and mince pies waiting when we arrived. She also gave us advice on walking into town for dinner, and checked that we weren't planning too exposed a walk when the weather was too bad, The room was nice and...

Staying at the Charnwood Lodge was one of the best decisions we made when we were on our trip. The rooms were very comfortable and the entire location was very clean. This little lodge is also dog friendly. The little owner, Freda, was very nice and sweet. She always wanted to make sure we were comfortable and had everything that...

Hostess couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. B&B was warm and comfortable. My room was well appointed with fresh milk every day and was able to use freezer for freezer packs for my coolbag. Hostess very dog friendly and nice big safe garden for dog to run around in. Wish some of the pubs in Keswick were as dog...
