We have just paid another visit to the Keswick Country House Hotel with our daughter and her family. Now that the refurbishment programme at the hotel has been completed the building has a new improved lease of life. From the moment we arrived to departure it was like being back with good friends. The staff, the greatest asset of this...

We spend every season here and autumn is probably our favourite-we stayed this week, when the rain poured and weather really cold and the following day-very warm sunny blue skies. Whatever the weather Keswick is perfect and especially if you stay in this fabulous homely, characterful hotel, with fantastic staff, service, food, surroundings and in my favourite room-sorry I'm not...

We stayed on a Dinner Bead & breakfast deal with was very good value. The car park was nearly full and the hotel very busy, which is always a good sign. The dinner was well presented and enjoyable. Breakfast was buffet style but again good quality. The staff were mainly European (non English), which did lead to some misunderstandings. However...

We have stayed here in the Autumn for many years and love the atmosphere of shabby chic, the friendly staff, and the interesting menus (care for a "slither of salmon" anyone?)and the nightly cabaret when the wild rabbits cavort on the lawn enticed by the floodlights. The views from the garden rooms of the surrounding hills are stunning even when...

Stayed here for the weekend on a DB&B option. The hotel is a bit tired and floorboards very creaky, but the staff and food were excellent. Location great-a five minute walk into Keswick. Would recommend.

We have stayed at the Keswick Hotel on numerous occasions over the years and always find the whole experience very satisfactory. The staff are first class and nothing is too much trouble. The food is always of a very high standard and breakfast is a real treat with everything imaginable provided. We are looking forward to our next visit.

At least our fifth visit to the Keswick Country House Hotel, yet again taking advantage of an irresistible mid week dinner, bed and breakfast offer. The public rooms of this delightful Gothic Victorian building, originally the station hotel, perhaps have an air of faded elegance but our corner bedroom, with spectacular views of the fells, was contemporarily decorated, clean, comfortable...
