This is the perfect place to stay in the Lake District when visiting Penrith and Keswick etc. The room was comfortable and spacious and our host was wonderful and attentive. We arrived a couple of hours earlier than we thought and were greeted with a lovely cup of tea and great conversation. I can't recommend Lane Head enough!

We have just returned from our second stay at Lane Head Farm Country Guest House and we were very impressed again. We stayed for 2 nights with our dog and the room was lovely and clean which is sometimes a rarity with dog friendly rooms. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and we were even given a sausage...

After a long long day cycling this was a wonderful oasis. Greeted by a warm hearted hostess we instantly felt at home. We were offered tea in the lounge once we had put our things in our room. Tandem safely locked away for the night we enjoyed hot baths, a great comfy bed, amazing evening meal - if offered definitely...

We had an amazing time at LHF. The cottage and rooms were extremely comfortable and cosy. We were offered a savoury breakfast with veg. option and a surprise treat for our dog. A safe haven for dog lovers with a truly welcoming host. No need to say we'll be back!

What a great place just off the A66 a few miles from Keswick. Here you will get a friendly welcome with a pot of tea and a chat with the owner. This converted farm house was built in the mid 1700s and has lots of character. Very good sized rooms with a comfortable bed and decent shower. There is a...

Stayed here for one night on a last minute trip to the Lake District. The owner was very welcoming, offering us tea on the lawn on our arrival! Our room was clean and cozy and breakfast was very tasty and clearly used high quality ingredients. Great location if you have a car, Ulster water and Keswick are only a short...

We stayed here in August with our Dog Bess, We were welcomed with a pot of tea and coffee in the garden and Bess received lots of fuss from the owner. The room was great, we had a four poster and basically everything you could ask for including dog treats, the location also great. Breakfast was wonderful and again Bess...

We stayed the same time last year-wedding anniversary week-and found the owners just as. if not kinder than last year-so sweet to our dog-whos old and clingy-this year we were given a doggy bag-foil wrapped sausage-each breakfast-for Patsydog. This tolerance is very reassuring for dogowners like us. Our dog was calm and got on with the other dog in the...

We arrived at Lane Head Farm and were warmly greeted by our hostess. She showed us to our room; a comfortable room with a four-poster bed and a roomy en suite. A car is required due to the location of the guesthouse, but the scenery and tranquillity (despite the road close by) is sublime and, only after a few hours...

Gorgeous setting, so close to Keswick but with stunning rural views and so peaceful! We were made so very welcome, and loved having use of the lounge area (we were holidaying with another couple, so it was lovely to have a comfortable area to sit and chat in while enjoying a couple of bottles of wine). We had two upstairs...
