Room was adequate, bathroom was well fitted out and very modern, the hotel is situated in a good position for all the amenities and within easy reach of the lake. There's also a good choice from the menu at breakfast and the food was very nice.

Me and a friend came to Keswick for a spa weekend, and we had a lovely time. We had afternoon tea here after checking in, which was great. It was served super quick and we got loads - the scones came out warm too which was lovely. We were surprised to find the rooms were extremely modern. The bed was...

We stayed in a room which was dog friendly. Great size room. Breakfast was in conservatory as we had dogs, this was ideal. Food was good. Great location for centre of kendal. Plenty of dog friendly pubs too.

If there was a category for between average and very good I would have put this hotel in there.Stayed here on a one night Secret Escapes deal. Room was clean and comfortable and a good enough size overlooking the carpark but a long walk with lots of stairs with our luggage from reception. The town centre location doesn't afford spectacular...

Stayed 4 nights on a Secret Escapes deal DBB. Public car park at rear of hotel which didn't cause a problem as hotel provided parking permit for £2 per day . We were early checking in but reception looked after our luggage until room ready and took it to the room for us. Tea and scones on arrival in conservatory...

The hotel is centrally placed. That's the good thing I can say. Room I stayed was small but updated recently with a very good bathroom. Common areas and the dining hall have not been updated since the 1960's I think, including the welcome. If you decide to book, may be B&B. No complaints about breakfast. Dinner, don't. Lacks taste and...

Stayed for a couple of nights recently with my wife and son. Poet's room is spacious, very clean and roomy. Nightclubbers across the road can be noisy in the wee sma' hours. Breakfast is great. There's often a musician playing in the bar at night and the nights we were there, the quality was first class. The staff in this...

Stayed here on the 7 September 2015. When checked in was advised that we had been upgraded to a classic room. Room was comfy and clean. Not much of a choice in the bar to choose from, drink wise. Breakfast good

Stayed here with the wife for a short break. Requested a quiet room but got the exact opposite - noise from the street outside was appalling, at night from the late night revellers and early morning from the shop delivery lorries/vans, not forgetting the Thursday market being set up, which started just after 5am. Secondary double glazing in bedroom (none...
