The owners, Nigel & Debra are the perfect hosts. They are friendly and helpful and run a clean and homely establishment. Nigel and Debra run an excellent guest house. There are many little things that make a real difference to the stay. After a days walking, a slice of Debra's home made cake is a real treat, along with the nice quality tea in the room. The range of options at breakfast is great and you can vary your choice each...

Great couple, really friendly. Breakfast was great and they were really accommodating for an early start on our walking day. Room was well decorated and appointed with good attention to detail with water, tea, coffee and snacks. Thanks Nigel and Debra.

Comfortable room. Nicely decorated and furnished. Comfy bed. Friendly helpful owners. Tasty breakfast. Option for packed lunch. Close to town on a quiet street. Would definitely return on another trip.

Nice, clean and friendly. Definitely worth a stay In this guesthouse which which is very close to the centre of Keswick and the amazing countryside. Nigel and Debra are very welcoming and lovely hosts.

Wonderful personal touches and always greeted with a smile. Nice to be greeted by your name at breakfast. Clean, and fab packed lunches for our walk. Enjoyed the option of bottle opener in the drawer:)

A group of us recently stayed at the Cartwheel Guest house whilst taking on the English 3000s challenge. Stayed at The Cartwheel again for the second time. This time for a two night break. Once again The Cartwheel and it's hosts Nigel and Debra didn't disappoint. I have stayed at the Cartwheel under both the previous and the new owners. The quality has remained consistently high. spotless throughout great breakfast. The rooms are equipped with the normal tea and coffee making facilities and home made cake available during the afternoon.

We had a great stay at the cartwheel for our 17th year of attending the beer festival - very friendly hosts, lovely clean and comfortable rooms, great cooked breakfast and all within couple of minutes walk to centre - perfect.

Nigel and Debra can assure you of a warm welcome at our traditional slate Victorian Guest House, conveniently located close to Keswick town centre, Derwentwater and the spectacular northern fells. We provide hearty lakeland breakfasts and can cater for most guest's dietary requirements (just let us know at time of booking). Packed lunches are available at a nominal cost and we will be pleased to fill your flask with tea or coffee free of charge, just drop it off at breakfast. When you arrive back from your busy day, home-made cake will be waiting for you! Whatever brings you to Keswick and the beautiful landscape of the surrounding lakes and fells, we aim to make your stay with us an enjoyable and memorable one, with good standards of accommodation and service for all our guests.
