Dale Head Hall has a beautiful view from the front lawn of the lake. The room was large though older and beds uncomfortable. The roll-away bed was child size and covered in plastic which made sleeping difficult for our adult aged daughter. The hotel entry has a dank smell though the room smelled fine.

Nice stay with beautiful view on the lake as from the room. Friendly people. Breakfast is typically English...fruit, muesli and yoghurt to serve yourself, the rest is to choose from a list. They bring it to you. One -: I have asked a glass of water and this had the color of yellow.. Right over out of the lake? :-(...

A large family group were travelling to a bunkhouse in the lakes to celebrate my husband's 60th over the weekend of 5th August. I thought he might enjoy a bit of luxury prior to living in a dormitory and booked a four poster room in what had been described as a 'luxury hotel' with 'fine dining' at Dale Head Hall...

Me and my partner came here for a one night stay and were really looking forward to the stay. When we arrived at first we were not disapointed with the stunning grounds and view but in reality that is as good as it got. We just got back from a lovely break at Dale Head Hall. I picked this place based on the reviews and the location. Being between Keswick and Grasmere it really feels like you are enjoying the country life. Tranquil and lush gardens to explore and great access for loads of walks of different grades if you can be bothered ;-)....

We rented the one bedroom apartment which had no outlook, was dark and tired. Everything needed cleaning before we could use it. Not comfortable and had the weather been better no outside area to relax in other than outside Hotel.

A standard room but lovely, spotless and very comfy, with stunning views of grounds and lakes. Loved watching the rabits play in the large gardens. Cooked Breakfast was very good. maybe a little more choice on fruit and cereal would be good.but still tasty and served with a smile. Lovely family/staff

Since I first stayed with Marie's and Phillips family in this magic place, I felt in love. I made a dream come true and stayed a full week just looking at the lake enjoying the different lights and weather. And of course the delicious supper of a surprising quality. Only two alternatives to choose from. But this is plenty, as...

We had an upgrade given to us on arrival which was generous and lovely..We had a gorgeous room very clean and the decor was excellent. The room overlooked Thirlmere and the gardens to the front. Breakfast was good and service timely. Would recommend a stay here for sure.

Booked a standard double room at last minute. Was expecting a small room but we got a self contained apartment which was lovely. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was lovely, plenty to eat and drink. The gardens are gorgeous and the place is so quiet.
