We stayed here for a second time as we found it brilliant & also took our friends as well who thought it was lovely. Staff are very nice, friendly & accomodating. Rooms are spotless & fresh, food was fantastic & is right on the edge of main part of town, so handy. Thanks again and we will return.

After a very long cycle ride Jason and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel at home and make every effort to help us out when everything went pear shaped. They took us in when we were both suffering from injury and tiredness and continued to do everything they could to help us despite our uncertain plans.... More

Lovely friendly staff at the hotel. Very helpful. One special part about it was on an evening the dining room turned in to a restaurant. Amazing feature was cooking your own food on a hot stone. What a new experience. Thank you.

We stayed at Ravensworth House for 4 nights in April. Location is excellent, the place is clean and well maintained. Owners (Jason&Alison) are very friendly and helped us a lot to explore the wonders of Lake district. Breakfast is fantastic (one of the best I've ever tried)!

My husband and I have stayed at Ravensworth House four times now and always have an enjoyable stay. Jason & Alison are very welcoming and offer great advice on the local area. The breakfasts are always very tasty and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. Our latest stay was from 1st - 4th January and very pleasant as... More

Excellent location with parking available close by with a permit provided by the owners. Both Jason & Alison were very friendly & could not have offered a better service. We stayed in room 3, Catbells, which was very nice with a view of Catbells of course. The shower room was small but was adequate for our stay which we enjoyed... More

I wish that I had read the bad reviews and the subsequent replies from the owners before I booked this establishment. I cannot believe how petty and small minded the owners are although I did suspect this on check out and just left a nice comment in order to avoid conflict. Went to this hotel for a romantic weekend with... More

We completely disagree with nearly all of the points made in this review. This was without doubt the worst experience that we have had of a customer smoking in one of our rooms. We have witnesses to this and also photographic evidence. When we entered the room there was still a thick cloud of cigarette smoke lingering. There was cigarette... More

We stayed here for a second time. Really lovely. Tasty breakfast, delicious smoked kippers and poached egg. Clean room, comfy bed and great bathroom. Lovely people, happy to chat and help you out. Within easy walking distance to the bustle of Keswick. Obviously close to many large walks and of course the pencil museum which was actually a laugh! Winlatter... More

“We stayed in room 7 (the lords seat) at the back of the B&B, with amazing views. it is however on the 3rd floor (which we were told upon booking). It also has a spa bath which is lovely after a long walk.”

“We loved this room for the comfort, space, snuggle seat (spinny chair for two!), view from the window and bubble bath. Would highly recommend this room as it's a cut above the rest. Well worth it. The site has a virtual tour of all the available rooms so check it out to pick a room that best suits you.”
