We just called in as they always have hot gluckwein in December. We were there for the Victorian Market (which was a bit disappointing) The drink was £4.50 each which was a bit expensive. It had a very strong cinnamon taste which put my wife off it. The place itself is comfortable with a blazing fire. The staff are friendly....

I stayed at this bar a few years ago and enjoyed my stay therefore I was looking forward to staying again for one night with friends. First of all the rooms were spotless and are pleasantly decorated, ideal for a short stay in the village (...however a biscuit and welcome pack may have 'added' an extra touch, as you tend...

We stayed last spring... but just got around to writing this review ! the place is small and gorgeous! Rooms cosy and clean. Beds comfortable. We'd had a horrible journey during which our car blew up! A nice glass of wine down in the bar before we got ready for dinner. We walked around keswick and found somewhere to eat....

We had dinner at the tapas bar, and our waitress a small brunette was quite unfriendly (the other staff were nice enough). We were told by the person who recommended the bar to us they do good cocktails, but we couldn't find a cocktail menu anywhere. We ordered tapas, which were really nice, although you have to pay immediately so...

My sister and stayed for one night recently, but wish it had been longer! The staff were lovely and friendly, and our room was beautiful. Very quaint, with a large bay window where we sat and drank wine on the evening ;) The room was very clean with modern shower facilities, and although we did not have time for breakfast,...

M and I were meeting J and D for a fleeting visit to Keswick and had struggled to find any accommodation which was available for only one night at a weekend - lots of places are (understandably) only bookable for a minimum of two nights. Café Bar 26 came up trumps though, and we were able to book two rooms...

Ok, this review in a nutshell. Fine Clean Room, Great Food, but no showers and an employee that basically lied to us the whole time we were there. Now for the full explanation: We arrived and were given the keys to our two rooms booked. When we were handed the keys- a very sweet girl told us that the shower...

What's happened to the lovely staff at Bar 26?! Food still good but service and staff really disappointing, what a shame as we are regulars there and have noticed a real difference since our last visit. Food was slow and all new team not attentive or friendly as before. Seems to have lost it's great atmosphere!

Just returned from a overnight stay at cafe bar 26 and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in room 1 (there are only 4 guest rooms) which although quite compact was a lovely decorated and comfortable room. It is overlooking the front Street and as others have said, there is slight noise from the bar but nothing too bad....

“The room I stayed in was a twin room at the front of the building looking over the street, but didn't notice any street noise. Yes you could faintly hear the music below in the bar but we quite liked that, it was nice to go to sleep to it.”
