This trip was a 50th Birthday treat for my husband. We were joined by our son and his girlfriend. Both double rooms were tastefully decorated they are not large rooms but this is an old building and they are advertised as small doubles. The bathrooms were a good size and you can request a room with a bath if you...

But was very disappointed with the appearance of the hotel, our room was small with a tiny window looking over kitchen roof, the bathroom was small with damp patches on the ceiling dressing table was small wardrobe door wouldn't close properly food was good but overall the hotel...

This is a very old hotel and we're told that such eminent people as Alfred Lord Tennyson and Robert Louis Stevenson graced its rooms in years gone by (see below photo that is on its wall). I wonder what these fine gentlemen would think of it now! Without wishing to state the obvious, Keswick is a lovely place and nearby...

We were advised to book as we have heard it was a very busy pub. It was busy when we arrived but service was very quick and the team were friendly and pleasant. A table of 6 adults and 2 children all left very full and pleased with their meals. Two thumbs up from an eight year old and a...

We had a great stay at The Royal Oak. We drove up from London for a long weekend away and received a warm, genuine welcome upon arrival. Staff - friendly, warm and helpful. Location - very central, lots to do and see within walking distance. Downside was, of course, noisy at night. Restaurant - charming! Lovely atmosphere and really nice...

Stayed for two nights over the Easter weekend and it was fantastic. The hotel was absolutely heaving when we arrived but the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were taken to our lovely rooms straight away and were given lots of helpful information about Keswick- where to go and what to do. Loved the fact you get fresh...

This is a chain pub as part of the Thwaites group, as such the look and feel of the place is similar to sister pubs we have stayed at. Having said that the room was clean, comfortable, quiet, a nice rain shower, a nice breakfast in the morning, and friendly staff. Keswick accommodation can be very pricey in season, but...

We enjoyed a 2 night stay in beautiful Keswick. Hotel is central and has no car park but plenty free parking near by. Very friendly staff good food and drink selection. Hotel is undergoing a refurb and we look forward to visiting afterwards. The attraction for us is that hotel is dog friendly.

We drove over to Keswick to have lunch here. It's about 135miles from home. :) Unfortunately, having got excited all the way there about Cumberland Sausage for my dinner, they weren't serving it. That aside, the food was amazing and the reception from the staff was great as always. We went for a sharing platter between us. The butchers one...
