We can't comment on the hotel rooms, as we ate in the dining room based on the fabulous reviews on TA and our love of all asian food. Wow, what can we say, we had perhaps been put off in the past as it is part of the guest house, but really do not let this put you off. If...

We booked the room online only hours before we turned up so i was expecting to have to show paperwork but Fon was ready with our room as soon as we arrived. The room was amazing. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we could need. The choice for breakfast was amazing. The food was delicious and they couldn't...

Booked based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed at all. Richard and Fon are a lovely and RESPONSIBLE couple who love doing what they do and it shows. Often older homes remodeled to accommodate 21st Century tenants ......doesn't always work out. However, the rooms are a comfortable size and the bathes are very modern. Had...

We stayed here for three nights in September to do some fell walking. Lovely welcome from Fon and our room (room 2), although on the small side, had everything we could possibly need and more, plus a very good shower room. The B&B is wonderfully convenient for shops and restaurants in Keswick (but still quiet) and only a short drive...

Very quaint B&B in Keswick that mixes very English decor in the rooms with a Thai look-and-feel in the dining room. Very good rooms - spacious, with good facilities and spacious bathrooms. The location is perfect to get to the heart of Keswick, get out on one of the many hiking trails around Derwent Water, watch a play at the...

Excellent rooms ( size Ok for B&B), very clean, modern bathroom, confortable bed, very good breakfast ( gives plenty of choices rather than only the standard English breakfast).... Only irritation was the multiple notes of dont's and rules in the front door, in the reception, in the bedroom, in the bathroom etc that would make you feel sometimes like you...

We have just returned home after spending four nights at the Shemara, and can honestly say this is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, the room (4) was massive, comfy bed, great decor, lovely bathroom and had a great view of Skiddaw. Breakfast was excellent or though I kept to poached eggs on toast (round toast to match...

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Shemara and would recommend the guest house to anyone who wants quality accomodation in a central location.
