The old lady is nice but missing a few marbles and talks endless rubbish, often repeating herself. The old man is just rude and ignorant ... Everything is dirty ... I couldn't eat my breakfast because it seemed like the food was slightly 'off', as if it were leftovers from the day before. I cleaned the teapot myself and you...

We had not booked in advance and found this BB at the last minute. There were used sanitary towels in a drawer of our room. And the towel smelled of piss. I nearly threw up. We did not stay for the breakfast.

The proprietor was a very friendly old lady but i'm afraid this accomodation is well below any standard you would expect from any guesthouse. Carpets are threadbare and covered in dust. Sheets were stained. Shower covered in scum. Bath towels paper thin. We declined breakfast as similar levels of cleanliness in the kitchen would have been a health hazard. I'm...

The single...

Mr and Mrs Sexton were very freindly and accomodating. My wife and I stayed as a family in the rather pleasantly large, and well kept family room very comfortably with our two children (aged 7 and 4). My mother and father and aunt and uncle and cousin and their dog were also accomodated in the house the same weekend. We...

We had gotten into Keswick very late-9pm to be exact, and drove round only seeing No Vacancy signs. I spotted the Gilpin, and asked Mrs Sexton if she had a twin room for me & my Mum. She said No, but she could put a single mattress in a large room for me-Which was great! Very accommodating(and a good nights...
