We had a lovely 2 night stay here last March, didn't realise I'd not reviewed until browsing for a new break recently! The setting is idyllic and our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in Causey Pike and found the room nice and cosy with beautiful garden and fell views; fell in love with watching the birds gathering...

On a 2 day break to lake district in the lovely setting of Newland's valley. Owners ed & Jane were very hospitable & friendly. We had Robinson room which looks out to catbells. View to die for. Breakfast was excellent with good choice & excellent produce. B&b is remote but that was fine by us. Nearest pub is 15 -...

This is a great place to stay. Amazing views from the room and all the common areas onto the beautiful Newlands valley. They have a lovely breakfast, and the innkeepers provided fabulous advice on eating and activities in the area.

I debated about staying in Keswick due to the convenience of restaurants, etc. vs staying in the Newlands Valley. I am so glad we opted for the countryside experience. There is no lake view, but in my opinion, the view of Catbells and Skiddaw and being in the quiet, pastoral countryside was a much more inspiring and meaningful experience. The...

I stayed here for 2 nights having been lucky enough to have a couple of spare days at the same time as the sun was shining in The Lake District. The setting is sublime and Ed and Jane have designed an amazing space in which to relax and soak up the stunning views. The rooms are immaculate and the quality...

The place is spotless, and surrounded by stunning scenery. My husband and I were placed in the Catbells room, which was spacious and comfortable. I loved the little Asterix and Obelisk tiles in the bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful (porridge seems a strange thing to recommend, but it was so good). As others have said, packed lunches are available and are...

Stayed two nights at Ellas Crag in late September and the view from Jane and Ed's B&B is simply stunning. The outside patio is large and is a great place to drink wine and soak up the scenery. Stayed in the Robinson room with a very modern & large bathroom, great view of the nearby mountains/hills and all top notch...

This was our second stay at Ellas Crag (the first being 7 years ago) and whilst I thought from our first stay that it could not get any better Ed and Jane have managed to make their property even better. The view from the rooms are absolutely breathtaking, just as they are from the lounge/breakfast area (which has really been...

Myself and my friend stayed here for two nights last weekend and it was fabulous. The cooked breakfasts were wonderful and set us up for the action packed days we had planned. The rooms are clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view out of our bedroom window. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and I would definitely...

Loved every minute of our three night stay at Ellas Crag. Stunning views, the house is beautiful, the hospitality from Jane and Ed was fantastic and the breakfast is highly recommended! Definitely want to return again in the future. A hidden gem!
