Jim and Tine are the perfect hosts, their accommodation and kitchen are exceptional, making for an epic holiday in the Lakes. Jim and Tine have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. The breakfast is of the highest quality and abundant, setting you up for the day, with a large choice all home made. Bedrooms are very quiet with quality beds...

Stayed at Lowthwaite in the Blencathra room. This is a lovely room with the bedroom on the ground floor and a mezzanine living room / bathroom area above. The furniture, fittings, bedding and towels were of a quality very rarely seen in B&B accommodation. The toiletries were also greatly appreciated. The breakfasts were totally amazing plus the owners were very...

The breakfast was just amazing each day we had something different which was cooked to perfection, the assortment of cold food was amazing home made bread, muffins and granola. The room we stayed in was really comfortable...

My friend and I recently stayed at Lowthwaite B and B. The standard of the food and the rooms equalled that of any hotel charging five times the rate that I have ever been to and the location and warm welcome were second to none. The owners have managed to keep the charm of a the building while at the...

Stayed two nights at this charming B&B and couldn't have been more impressed. Lovely en-suite room, great comfortable bed and linen, great toiletries and cleanliness. The breakfast was outstanding, so much choice including freshly baked bread and home-made granola. The cooked breakfast was the best I'd had in years. Can't wait to return. Faultless.

Fabulous away from it all location. Very welcoming owners who clearly love and have pride in both their property and their B&B offering. Breakfast excellent with lovely variety of baked goodies. Room comfy all spotlessly clean. We really felt it was important to the owners that we enjoyed our stay. They were both interested and interesting
