Excellent, friendly and attentive hosts. We stayed in a recently refurbished room with excellent en-suite. Highly recommended for a lake district stay. Only a short drive to Ullswater. Parking on site is very convenient.

Nick and Karen go the extra mile for their guests - they offer far more than bed and breakfast. They have taken great care over the refurbishment of the rooms and bathrooms - mine was spotless and gave the impression that you were the first person to use it! It's clear they think about the needs of guests and understand...

We stayed here for 2 nights, having bought an amazing deal from Wowcher. We were not disappointed! The guest house is spotless and has lots of little nice touches, e.g. Board games in the communal area, a licensed bar, dinner made and served by the owners. Our room was a really good size and had just had its bathroom re-done....

Nice owners with a reasonable establishment. Few things were a bit of a put-off: mould in tile joints around bath; dated yesteryear feel; cooking smells; narrow gap between twin single bed-ends and the opposite wall, early morning noise (6am) from owners rising above and hike up two flights of stairs. Having said all that, would be hard to get better...
