A great little place to stay before and after a trip to the hills. Easy to get to from the station. A clean room with a nice breakfast. Not a lot more to stay on the place really as it ticked all the boxes we needed.

Booked in to the Albany guest house through my work. Following a long drive I received a really warm welcome and was shown to my very comfortable room. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything needed, tea/coffee/ hot chocolate plus fresh fruit (nice touch). Good nights sleep followed by an excellent breakfast, lovely fresh fruit plus a very hot...

We stayed here one night whilst cycling the C2C route. We were quite tired when we arrived and couldn't have been more delighted with the warm welcome we received. The room we were allocated was beautifully decorated and was so comfortable and inviting with a lovely view over the gardens and church. We had everything we needed for a relaxing...

I stopped at this great guest house whilst visiting Penrith for the winter droving festival. It's in a prime location , very short stroll into town. The rooms are extremely comfortable and very well looked after and the breakfasts are fabulous.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We were greeted at the door and shown to our room. It was a nice room with a nice ensuite bathroom. Plenty of tea/coffee/etc. in the room and a kettle! Breakfast was tasty and a good selection of food was on offer. Would definitely recommend.

Our party of four had 3 nights here and found it ideal. There were no problems with the parking. There seemed to be a space on the road outside every time we wanted one. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spacious for our needs. We had a good sleep, our room was at the back of the building....

Fantastic three night stay. Welcoming hosts, spotless room with every facility required plus homemade treats daily! Breakfast absolutely delicious, spoilt for choice, cooked breakfast hot and tasty, faultless! Leaking cistern in toilet meant disturbed sleep, owners mortified, offered to put us up in nearby accommodation as no vacancy at Albany and no plumber available till next week, declined their generous...
