We arrived on a rainy evening but we had a sunny welcome from the owners. They helped us with the luggage and showed us to our room. It was to the back of the building and was quiet. The room was spotless with not a spec of dust to be seen anywhere. The bed was comfortable, something we are very... More

We arrived a little early before check in time and were greeted by one of the owners a man called Phil. He was so professional in his pleasant manner and we checked in early. What a pleasant surprise when we entered the building it was absolutely spotless, looked brand new and modern. Our room was exactly the same. A short... More

We were travelling back from Scotland and so Penrith was a good halfway stop. Ashberry Guesthouse was perfect for our needs: very clean, quiet, comfortable, good wifi, walking distance to pubs/restaurants in Penrith and had parking for the car. The room was a little small (not much room for dealing with suitcases), but that didn't matter for one night. Breakfast... More

I stayed here initially for two weeks and returned for another week a short time later. Vanda and Phil really have succeeded in making a home from home. The entire house is immaculate and has a warm homely feel. You are made to feel very welcome from your arrival right through your stay. The breakfasts are to die for. A... More

Very comfortable bed, TV, spotlessly clean, Wi Fi, list of places to eat nearby, splendid breakfast. Very good soundproofing, plenty of space for clothes, easy to use shower, lovely and hot. We would definitely come back.

We stayed here for one night after a two week holiday in Scotland as wanted to break our journey up back home. Wonderful clean airy modern accommodation. The hosts were very friendly but not intrusive, made us feel welcome and relaxed with a knowledge of where to go for food and drinks in Penrith. We had a great night out... More

We were doing the c2c bike ride and were happy to arrive here. The guest house is nicely decorated. Consistent throughout each room. It is very clean. The owner is very thorough, professional and friendly. Nice selection for breakfast and the food is well prepared. There is off road parking and o- rings to lock up bikes.
