We were staying in Penrith for just one night after my niece's wedding. We were very pleased with our room and the facilities. In addition to the usual beverage tray there was a coffee maker, fresh fruit, sweets; also bathrobes and a lovely range of toiletries in the bathroom. It was immaculately clean, warm and with a very comfy bed....

A great place to stay in Penrith and everything that a B&B should be. A very warm and friendly welcome from Leon who made us a pot of tea upon arrival. Our room was well furnished and spotlessly clean with all the little touches that took it out of the 'ordinary' and into the 'special', such as the bowl of...

Leon greeted me like an honoured guest even though it was my first visit and I was only staying one night. I had the single room and although not large, it was adequate with lots of extras and a superb mattress on the bed. Lovely homely feel B&B with wood panelling, antiques and pictures. The haddock fish cakes for breakfast...

Visited the Brooklands Guest House in July 2016 for my husbands 60th on our way to the Open and the only word I can say is 'amazing'!!! The rooms, the owner ,the breakfast and the whole experience was beyond fabulous, we have stayed in 5 star hotels before including New York and Croatia but this room was the most luxurious...

It exceeded our expectations. The owner was really friendly, the Superior Suite room was luxurious and well equipped and breakfast was great! I couldn't improve the room, service, food or anything about our stay.

From the moment you walk in the door you know this is a special place...the decoration and attention to detail is second to none. Everything is pristine, not a spec of dust anywhere. No expense spared in the fixtures, fittings, bed linen, extra luxuries eg quality soaps in the rooms, biscuits, range of hot drinks, even a mini fridge for...

If you're looking for a really warm welcome and a very comfortable stay in the North Lakes then this is as good as it gets. Well appointed bedrooms and little touches like fruit and sweeties in the room make you feel quite spoilt and I have never seen such range of 'breakfasty comestibles' ever! Thank you for looking after us...

We did the coast to coast cycle challenge and stayed two nights at Brooklands. They were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, even helping us secure the bikes overnight. The breakfast the next morning was one of the best we've had as as regular B&Bers I don't think there's better anywhere! If you want to stay in Penrith,...

Recently stayed at this beautiful guest house. What can I say that hasn't been said before? The furnishings, decor and all the little 'extra's', not to mention the fantasic breakfast was second to none. Many thanks once again.

With a very welcoming host, this B&B is a cut above with beautiful furnishings and interior decor. The breakfast is substantial and very tasty! Extremely comfy bed, lovely touches such as the jar of sweets, wine glasses, mini fridge and bottled water. Short and easy walk into town. Can park directly outside with a permit from the B&B. Shame we...
