Booked a single room, not ensuite; small but very comfy bed and perfectly adequate for my needs. Made to feel totally at home by the owner and slept really well, followed by a lovely breakfast. Ample parking outside and easy to get into the town centre of Penrith by car just a few minutes away.

Stayed last week for 2 nights with my daughter and 14 week old grandson. We arrived very late as had a long journey. Our keys were waiting for us and the guest house was warm and welcoming. Lovely spacious room with all of the facilities we needed. Loved the toiletries and won't pack any next time I stay. The landlady...

I stayed here in September (2016) for a week, wanting a relaxing break in the eastern Lake District before term started. This could not have been better. I stayed in the single room (I knew in advance about the separate private bathroom), which though small was comfortable, spotless and had everthing I needed. The bathroom itself was sheer luxury, a...

The accommodation is fine with good comfy bed. However like the comments of 20 September we only had chance to meet Helen, the landlady, at breakfast. The envelopes contain the keys and a laminated 'welcome' card. Very much a 'self-help' arrival. We found our way around including a great pub for dinner. We returned to the B&B and having read...

Stayed just one night, great location just outside Penrith, close to M6 and A66. Lovely friendly owner, very comfy bed and good breakfast. I was in the single room which had everything I needed, but I would prefer an en suite even though the bathroom was only across the hall and was private for the single room.

I stayed here for three nights. I had booked into a single room which was fine for one person. I was surprised to be given a key to my own private bathroom which I was able to have a bath in each morning I had to be at work early and found the owner incredibly accommodating to my needs and...

We stayed for just 2 nights in order to attend a family wedding at nearby Askham. Received a warm and friendly welcome, and made to feel "at home" immediately. My daughter shared a spacious family room with my 2 grandchildren, while I enjoyed a comfortable double. Both rooms were bright and spotlessly clean, had good en-suite facilities, plus generous hospitality...

Great bed and breakfast - stopped for one night on the way to Scotland. Conveniently just off M6 in Clifton. Outstanding restaurant 1 minutes walk away. Room very pleasant - clean and tidy. Shower good. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. An enjoyable stop over.

We stopped for one night in July on our way to Scotland and had a most comfortable night sleep, the bed was very comfy. The guest house had some nice personal touches like luxury tolieteries to hand. The guest house itself was in very pleasant surroundings. The room was very clean and the guesthouse had character. There was a friendly welcome...

I stayed here recently on a motorcycle trip. It was a really pleasant night. I was in the little single room; it was clean, comfortable and had everything that I needed. Although not ensuite, I had sole use of the large and well appointed bathroom just across the landing. Breakfast next morning was terrific, thanks Helen! Happy to recommend the...
