We stayed at the Langdale Chase Hotel over the weekend as part of a family party, celebrating my Parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. From the moment, we arrived at the Hotel we were impressed by the polite and helpful attitude of all the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and warm reception of the hotel and as a family couldn’t have...

Just back from a lovely 3-night break at the Langdale Chase Hotel. It is undoubtedly a lovely hotel, and the setting is great. The staff are very attentive, and courteous. The whole experience was very comfy, and very nice. However, if you are sensing a "but" around the corner, then here it comes. It just didn't blow my socks off!...

Thank you for your review and your feedback following your recent stay at the hotel. We value all feedback both positive and negative. We receive great comments on a regular basis regarding the food, and we have a dedicated kitchen team headed by our Head Chef who has been with us for over 20 years now. All of our prices...

I was treated to a midweek break here for my 50th birthday, I had the best time I have ever had in a hotel. We stayed in the lake house with beautiful views of windemere lake. Our room was huge and the bathroom had a massive roll top bath and big walk in shower that could easily fit 4 people...

We booked Langdale Chase hotel to celebrate our Golden Wedding and booked a Superior Double with a lake view. The room was fantastic, large bedroom with a little separate lounge in a turret with windows all round with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. It was lt down by being very hot even with the windows open and was...

Thank you for your review following your stay at the hotel for your Golden Wedding. Congratulations to you both. I have noted your comments and feedback, firstly with regards to the heat, we are in the middle of winter and we are an old Country House, so it does take a lot to keep the building warm. Your comments about...

It must be the best positioned hotel in the Lake District. Our room overlooking the lake was spacious, comfortable beds , sofa for relaxing and a very spacious and well appointed bathroom with separate shower. Lovely fluffy towels . The toilet had some sort of macerator in the system and in the middle of the night it proved rather noisy....

Thank you for your review following your recent stay at the hotel, I am so pleased that you had a wonderful stay with us, our menu is changed seasonally and is selected using the most local and seasonal produce, as when people visit Cumbria this is what they expect, so I am sorry that you didn't find it interesting, maybe...

The hotel buildings are fascinating and beautifully situated. Service was very pleasant and efficient. However, some aspects didn't really measure up to the level one expected. The heating was unsatisfactorily erratic, in both rooms and public areas. Our room had a small entrance hallway heated to sauna level by a huge radiator with no thermostat; we had to leave the...

Thank you for your review following your stay at the hotel. I have noted your comments regarding the heating, and we are a old Country house, therefore takes an incredible amount of heating, and is something we monitor constantly. With regards to the breakfast, we have won a silver award from Visit Britain for our breakfast, for both quality and...

I love the Langdale Chase - but it's not quite what it used to be. I love the dignity of the building, inside and out. It is almost stately, with its commanding position overlooking Windermere lake, and tranquil gardens set with a variety of trees and shrubs. And daffodils. There used to be snow in January and February, and we...

Thank you for your most recent review Mr Lawrence and it was great to see both you and your wife back to the hotel. Our prices have remained the same for the last 4 years, with no price increases, and as management we decided rather than increase the prices, we thought to remove the canapés and petit fours, which are...

We arrived at this lovely hotel, voted as having the best view, in thick, thick fog! We were only here for one night but it was an enjoyable stay. We had a big room, overlooking the Lake...well, we assumed it was overlooking the Lake! We had to use our imagination as we couldn't see much beyond the terrace outside! We...

Beautiful hotel, stayed in the Lake house and had a magnificent view of the Lake and surroundings in the heart of the Lake District.
