I and a few friends recently visited the Brendan chase it is world famous as it was broadcast on tv so it is well known for its amazingly bad reviews but the man himself David Malony is just a pleasant man with his own ways and to give him the benefit of the doubt we decided to stay there it...

Recently spent 4 nights at Brendan Chase. Great en-suite room on ground floor. Just feet from the WiFi router in hall, so no problem with reception etc. Very warm and clean room. Breakfast was a choice of cereal and or a full cooked English. The full English was very good quality, not a speck of grease or mushed up food...

I flew over from the US last month to stay in the beautiful Lake District for 2 weeks. The place itself was recommended by my friend Frank Garrett who previously stayed here, it is an amazing and relaxing place for those who want to just get away for while. Fast Wi-Fi was provided and I was able to watch my...

I read some of the reviews here and think they are unfair. If you want a corporate business style approach to customer care, visit one of the chains. If you want to visit a warm and friendly guest house, with charm and character visit here. The owner is very welcoming and refreshingly honest and down to earth. He told us...

I stayed here with my son Mike, and my agent John. Mike just spent the last TWO YEARS in Walnut, so he was in need of a good family vacation. We did our research and decided the Lake District in northern England was perfect, and settled on staying at the Brendan Chase. David, the owner, is a very well respected...

Let's start with a list of the positives since it's easier to get those out of the way. The B&B is in an extremely central location, essentially in the center of the town. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Finally, the room, although small, was comfortable and clean. The rooms do not have en suite toilets...

Reminiscent of Fawlty Towers, a well meaning host who appears to be drowning in his chosen retirement profession.A nice comfy bed is probably the highlight of the visit. Breakfast was strictly 8AM to 9 AM,at 9.01 you've had it mate! On a general note it's cheaper to go to London for the weekend than stay in our beautiful Lake District...

The owner is attentive and helpful. Great value for money in a great location. No frills but more than adequate. Nice chap to talk to and would definitely stay again if in the area. Parking outside on the street was not a problem.
