My 14 year old son, wife and I stayed here this past June. The location was fantastic - very central. Restaurants, shops and laundry within walking distance. The property was well maintained and David, the owner and operator, was very thorough in handling all the details to ensure that his residents were well informed on the local sights.

This B&B is at a very convenient place, very close to train station, town center etc. Rooms were relatively clean. There is dust on the furnitures. En-suite bathrooms are tiny but OK, looked rennovated. Breakfast was decent as well. You have to be there strictly between 8 AM-9 AM else no breakfast. There was a kettle, cups, tea bags, milk...

Stayed at the Brendan Chase and had a wonderful time. David Maloney has a reputation for being a well respected individual and I can see why. He's sharp, funny, and a great host. Hes quite wordly as he's spoken to people in Alaska, Oklahoma, and the eastern seaboard of the United States. I would give the Brendan Chase 5 stars....

Imagine you have just driven 315 miles. You arrive at this B&B, ring the doorbell and the very first thing you hear from its owner as he opens the door is "you are very early". We arrived at 1.30pm. Check in is at 3.00pm. I have travelled the World and immediately felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but much, much...

Great location, good value for money, but the host should have retired 10 years ago. I spent an hour chatting to him, and he was so full of negativity, that he left me feeling depressed :( If you don't have to talk to him, it's a great place to stay !

My son and I turned up on Saturday evening without a booking and this was the third place we'd tried. Mildly hesitant at the start, the landlord explained that as guests he was expecting had failed to turn up, he would let us have their room. We agreed a price, obtained the key and went off o the car, just...

Ideal guest house for a short stay. Owner was very helpful, had a comfortable sleep and had a nice breakfast in the morning. Guest house was basic but didn't require anything more with one night stay. Ideal location, half hour walk to the lake.

Upon arrival, building exterior grim. No answer after ringing the bell. We left to explore and phoned 10 minutes later. I was greeted with a very annoyed "David" saying he had got to the frontdoor and nobody was there, then hung the phone up abruptly. We checked in and David was helpful with giving info on Windermere. He showed us...

Spent three nights here, including the late May Bank holiday. Despite being busy, the owner, David was very helpful, providing me with maps, bus timetables and ideas of places to go and see. The decor is a little dated, but the accommodation is very clean, my bedroom was quiet and the bed comfortable. The food was good and David cooks...

Outrageous experience, the owner is very rude and condescending never have I been so insulted by a owner of an establishment that has the audacity to charge £120 for a damp smelly room with pubic hair and semen stained bed sheets. After sleeping in this bed I had to go and see a physiotherapist that's how bad this place is....
