Home from home, excellent service, very comfortable, relaxed. The food was great especially the breakfasts. Only 1 mile from the Blackpool tower, walking distance or use the bus or tram which is very close to the hotel. Enjoyed every minute.

Great stay with Ian,Jay and Jamie. Great family run B&B. Fantastic food and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend the Mayfield to anyone. Located in one of the better parts of Blackpool but not too far from the night life and shows.

Second stay here, and again spot on. Clean, comfortable rooms. We had room 3, a family room and it suited us two adults and one child. And it has an en-suite bathroom. A lovely breakfast, very well cooked, we all had a cooked breakfast and my son and husband also had cereals. Owners and their son cannot do enough for...

Just as lovely as when we first got spoilt rotten 7 years ago when we stayed as a couple. FFWD 7 yrs on, with a 6yr old sprog on tow, it still feels like staying at a good mate's house, rather than just a run of the mill hotel. Until the next time, Teong, Nicky & Leon Khoo.

A friendly welcome from Jamie. Made a lovely coffee on arrival. Room was warm. Nice breakfast nothing too much trouble. Helpful with local information. Indian orchard about 15 minute walk away. You can catch the tram into the town but it's a lovely 20 minute stroll so don't really need to .

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mayfield Hotel: The Mayfield hotel was reopened by its new owners in September 2006. With the closed season kicking in it was a perfect time to rejuvenate the hotel to high standards, which has been complemented on by hotels guests over the opening months. With the wonderful views out on to the North pier and the beach, the Mayfield hotel is ideally suited for all the visitors young or old. The Mayfield hotel is literally a ten to fifteen minute walk into the main centre of the busiest north western seaside town in England. A variety of accommodation can be offered at the Mayfield to suit the needs of you and your companions during your stay at Mayfield hotel. Also we do have a variety of evening meals with home from home cooking. We don't take stag or hens or large groups as it's not a party hotel. Like we say, it's home from home. If you like a pint or two, we do have Fosters and Strongbow on tap. We hope to see you all very soon... Ian, Jay and Jamie ... more   less
